I was coming home from school yesterday and managed to catch sunset on the highway ^^. Picture quality isn't that great I only had my phone at the moment.



I wish the quality was better. The sky was so pretty ^^. A contrast of blues and oranges with a tint of purple.

The ultimate fail

Hi everyone! I have a midterm tomorrow, so I'm doing some last minute cramming X.X....anyways I was using my pc happily typing away some more study notes when it suddenly decided to died on me, again! Last month we sent it in because the motherboard died. This time...well I'm not sure but similar problems are popping up...could it be...another motherboard faliure?! This is not funny guys.

To the makers of HP electronics. Can you please stop messing up my life when it matters the most? In the past 2 months, I've had to replace 2 motherboards, 1 hardrive and one laptop. Don't you think 2 motherboard malfunctions is a LITTLE over the top? On the other hand, daddy dearest is thinking of buying a new pc tower. He's getting fed up with it too, hahaha. Any suggestions on a good brand?

Another tech-fail happened this week, hahaha. I'm so bad with electronics! I was playing Sims3 on my mac when one of my characters suddenly decided to freeze. So there, I continue with my other sim thinking it might be a minor glitch when I notice the stats of my sim going into critical condition (yes I like to take care of them properly ^^). I tried disabling any codes that might have caused this glitch but nothing worked, so in the end I had to end their lives by deleting the saved game. Now, I'm starting over and so far, they're both moving properly. Happy Happy!

I'll update again soon...maybe the week after. My childhood friend is stopping by Toronto on the 26th, so there might be more food updates ^^. I've been meaning to try out the new Go for Tea shop at Midland and McNicole, hehe. The old shop had huge servings and a very pretty interior design!

I know it's been a while since I've updated so here I am! I have midterms coming super soon...like this week so it will be a while before I update again. Lately, I've been going out of shape so I'm hoping exam season can act as a motivator for the gym as a stress reliever, hahaha. Meanwhile, I'm using the hula, hand weights, and DDR to work out. Since my PS2 died on me today, I think its time to add jogging to my regiment ^^.

Before I reveal my treasures of the week, I'd like to give a happy belated birthday to Amar, JDU and Trishie! I love you guys, mwah mwah! And FYI I am so not late XD I just posted it late on Blogspot, bleh. Now what did I get? Maybe I should just post it after I finish my midterms? hahaha, I'm just joking ^^.Today I got my Sims3 and my prize from Lisa's Giveway from Hi Qi Crystal Designs

I'm using my oh-so bright flourescent desk lamp to see if it will improve the picture quality on my macbook webcam. What do you think? I kinda miss the webcam on my hp. At least I could take pictures in natural light and not worry about the quality. Anways, The Sims 3 game is very different in comparison to the 2 previous games. I'm still cruising around to look for the functions but picture quality is very nice ^^ I not have both versions of Sims 3 and that makes me one happy gamer, hahaha. The itouch version is obviously much more simple but stil loads of fun.

Tax Free Cosmetics

Hi! I was checking my email earlier and found out this juicy tibit ^^. Starting tomorrow until October 15, the Amore store at pmall (pacific mall) will be doing a tax-free promotion on all their products. I'm not sure if you can combine it with the vip discount(10%) but I'm totally taking advantage of it ^^. I've been wanting to try their other laniege foundations. oh FYI, the Amore store sells korean brand cosmetics such as Laniege, IOPE and Sulwhasoo.

For the art lovers

Hi! Just wanted to do a quick blog about an even happening on my campus this friday ^^. On Friday, October 2, 2009, UTSC will be hosting our annual even Artside Out. There will be a slew of things happening all over campus. You do not need to be a student to attend, so feel free to stop by and take a look. I hear that there'll be art exhibits, movies, dance, and of course music ^^. Sounds fun right? I'll be spending my birthday with my artsy side ^^. I wish this week will never end...that way I won't have to write up the 4 essay templates for tuesday, wuuu~ My english prof is trying to kill us, hahahaa. Anyways, for those who want to come, you can google map us.

Fresh?

Hello ladies ^^ I'm here to do my first product review. This past week I've beeing using my sample size fresh mascara's. You can get this in a set at Sephora. I've been looking to find my hq mascara so I decided to give these a try. I used it again this morning and it's been on for 9 hours now.



Application:
1. Curl lashes
2. 1 coat of Fresh Firebird Mascara
3. 1 coat of Fresh Supernova Mascara


I like how the shade of my face and the rest of my body don't match XD. I need to fix my camera settings.

At the 2-hour mark, I noticed some light smudging and my curls were completely gone. Now, after 9 hours, my lashes are back to their natural position and mascara complete transfered under my eyes.

End Result:

I already wiped one side, so you only get one eye, hahaha

Its the most wonderful time of the year ^^

I know. I'm bad. I'm sorry! School's been super busy and I start midterms and handing in essays on October 6th. poo! Anyways I just got everything on friday so here's my haul ^^



Yes, that's right. I got sucked into the gimmick of apple products. Comparing it with my old laptop the sound and webcam doesn't even stand a chance. The picture quality is quite grainy and sound comes out quite flat. It's okay when you use headphones but on speaker...well you get the idea. On the brighter side of things I'm no longer watching frame-by-frame lecture videos ^^. I hate it when the audio and video don't match from lagging wuuu~. It also took a lot less time to get used to the system, which I'm supper happy about.



As you can see, I refrained from buying too much makeup. I still need to get a new bottle of foundation but that's all for the next 2 months...I hope(crosses fingers). I really need to limit myself :S. I got this fall's edition of Queen's Magazine but havn't dug into it yet ^^ can't wait to read it,hehehe! I also got the St.Clara Sebum Set that Fuzkittie recommended from Imomoko.Last week, I found this set along with the other 2 sets at Pacific mall but the prices are around $27 CND per set. They also have Paul&Joe foundations for sale on the first level but prices are completely ridiculous. The prices range from $67-$88 CND taxes optional (gotta love asian malls ^^). So for all you scarborough ladies who don't like online shopping that's the price you gotta pay. If not, your best alternative is to get it on amazon.com; they're selling it for $38 US, which is around $42 CND.

During my trip to pmall last week, I managed to pick up 2 O.P.I polishes in Lourve Me Not and Yoga-ta Get this Blue!. Both are shimmers but colours are super pretty! They're perfect for the fall season! The only I don't like about them are the brushes. Unlike the sephora O.P.I brushes, these ones are double in width...do they usually come in with wide brushes..?



I must say that this was the first time I've bought so much jewelry in such a small timeframe ^^. I just couldn't resist and got a little bit from everywhere ^^.

Custom that I did using stuff I found at a local beading store. Materials used: 2 onyx swarovski beads, flat black raw 18 inch string, and black/gold japanese bead. I probably wouldn've looked better on a shorter string ^^.

My order from Mona ^^. I requested a custom for her and I got it sometime last week. I am in LOVE with it. I got exactly what I asked for; autumn-themed necklace that's simply and dainty. The bracelet is also very nice and sturdy. I thought that the length would be a little short for me so I requested a longer bracelet. Turns out I didn't need it, so now i have a bracelet that works as an anklete XD. I'll probably go get it shortened somehow.


Got this one on Etsy ^^. This place has tons of talented crafters! I got this bunny pendant from Whimsical Treasures.


Another Etsy order ^^ I did say that I got a bit from everywhere ^^. Though I think I would've like the silver one better this one is pretty too. I got this one from Wiyomu.


From lovely Steph! I got this from one of her lunch special events ^^ The free gift is a swarovski cellphone charm. Both are super sparkly and very cute!

Well that's all. Big haul ^^. My bank is crying SOS but I'm am glowing with happiness, hahaha. I won't be shopping anytime soon....especially with uni biting at my heals T.T wuuuu~ As I said in a previous post I won't be 'hauling' for a while so you might see food posts or just pure random things from me. I'll try to not neglect this place!

Coffee makes the world go round

Hi! It's been a while since I've posted something so I thought I'd do it on something yummy. Coffee! I went to pmall to pick up the fall 09 edition of Queen's Mag then bused down midland to the new starbucks coffee shop. Its pretty nice there, I'll probaly go there more often for the wireless and try out the menue ^^. Last week I got a Green Tea Frappiccino sans cream and that was a no-no. Cream must stay on. Today I decided to try out my friend's fave Strawberry and Cream Frappiccino with cream. It's so pretty ^^



I managed to cut out the cream in the picture :| I had way too much in my hands sorry guys! But the colour is super cute. I can't wait for the winter menue to come out. Last year the choco mint with cream was super-delish.


Anyways a little update on my packages...they're here! oh-mi-god oh-mi-god! The last package came in this morning so I'll be putting up a huge haul sometime this week...probably on friday. I'll see you soon bye bye ^^

Randomness

Hi hi! Was browsing around and I found a little something to share with everyone ^^. Very amusing and describes life to the T. Life can pass you by pretty quickly, so make sure you enjoy every moment and opportunity. Props to jdu for passing OAT with flying colours! You go girl, hahaha.



First class is tomorrow! That means midterms and finals will be here soon, booo! Guess it's back to nerding ^^. I wish the weather will remain breezy and sunny forever! Winter is such a drag, especially when you commute, hahaha. I wanna get my license, but they're on strike T.T Someone doesn't want me on the road ^^.

Update

School is starting soon, yay. I want to go back but at the same time I want to get my degree so I can jump into a real life. School will be starting this thursday and I got everything I need, aka. textbooks, mountainous piles of paper, and a ton of papermate pens (cheap and they work...but they CAN explode). My heart aches everytime I look at how much I spent on textbooks this term T_T. At least we get to opt-out some 'benefits' the campus makes us pay for. Then again...there are millions of other things I had to pay for but will probably never use....they are totally ripping us off.

I had the intention of upgrading my wardrobe this summer, but nothing really caught my eye so I mostly picked up some colourful cardigans. They go with everything, heeheehe! Anyways I have more stuff coming in the mail so watch out for that! Want some hints? It's mad expensive, but oh-so-worth-it ^^. And, drum roll please jewelry from Etsy, our lovely M Sparkless Mona and DSK Stepherz. Shameless Shopping

Hey guys, I went to do a little shopping with J squared and it was so much fun ^^. Got my first LV item and I just love it! I really should go downtown more often, so many new things! I was like a kid in a candy store, hahaha.

A simple tee-dress with braided rope. I love simple things like this, perfect for the lazy days, hahaha.

Didn't buy the bear today but it was a gift from daddy, hahaha. Yes, I still get stuffed animals from my dad ^^. This H&M bag is super roomy and has leather strings running through the top part of the bag like a santa bag. There is also a magnetic closure and compartments on the inside. This bag won't be able to hold my laptop or books but it would be a great going-out bag. Plus it was only $22! I also got a knit grey pom-pom berret but it's still in the car so I didn't take a picture of it.


Make-up! hehehee, I just couldn't help it! Click picture for a zoom in. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong! I have my camera on the program function now. From now on all makeup product (the individual ones) will be zoomed in for you to see them in detail, enjoy!

I was watching a tutorial video by korean makeup artist Jung Saem Mool, and she used Glow On Blush in 42 Peach by Shu Umera as a highlight. It made the the model so glowy and pretty ^^.

I stopped by the LV section to look for my mom's coin purse but they didn't have it so I checked out their other accessories and found this ^^. It's so cute!



I finally went and got it! I've been looking for a contour colour and I think I've found it. This is a MAC blush in Strada. It's a beige-grey colour in a matte formulation. Although the first layer feels a big hard right now, it will soften up making it easier to work with.


Casio watch. It has a really simple but pretty design so I decided to take it home.

Lastly, the deal of the day was.. Juicy earrings! Usually they go for around $60 but I got them at an Aldo Outlet and they were $29 and $34! The heart studs are just so cute!

I'll be going shopping again tomorrow, and that will probably be up sometime during the weekend ^^ I might go Korean BBQ with the family tonight so no more posts today. Bye bye!

Life is a haul ^^

Just went to get a haircut today! I tried something new again ^^, hahaa

My look before. This was taken a while back...I was on soompi and they had this topic comparing your raw face and a made up one(one with makeup)...hahaha that sounds weird =P. Someone needs to help me with my camera...its changing my wall colours hahaha some of them come out pink and others turn out green. My laptop's builtin webcam is making pretty nice pictures, so maybe I'll just use that.

I also went to the mall today, yay! I found these goodies and I just had to bring them home, hahah.


This shirt is so cute! It has a hoodie sewn in and the straps can be buttoned at the bottom on the shirt.


Looks like I don't need to get it at zipia anymore ^^ Its super sturdy, and I can fit heap loads of stuff in it too.


This is roughly the same size as the other bag, and equally sturdy. I love big bags. This one is made of a jean like material in a dark grey with gold shimmers and it's rimmed in a dark grey metalic leather. Colours are pretty neutral so it will go with pretty much anything.

NOTE:Both bags come with detachable body straps and are priced at $25. All in all, a very happy day. I also went to try out Akia and it was pretty good ^^ I got a chicken katsudon and grilled squid ^^ drizzled with teriyaki sauce. I'll definately go back for more chow.
